The V in Virtue is book 4 in my V series. From the beginning of their relationship, Vic and Matt have celebrated their anniversary on New Year’s Eve. Somehow it’s become tradition for the men to swear off intercourse for the week between Christmas and New Years, a long stretch of seven days Matt finds especially difficult to weather. Vic’s blasé attitude about their lack of sex only makes Matt hornier, and he comes close to breaking down several times when Vic toys with him throughout the week.

Matt is looking forward to midnight on New Year’s Eve and claiming Vic as his own after such a trying dry spell. But when his coworker Roxie invites the guys to a year-end bash at her place, Matt’s plans are thwarted. Will Vic still make the evening special for Matt and himself even though they aren’t spending it alone?

NOTE: This story appears in my print collection, V: A Vic and Matt Series.

Vic stood by the table and opened his robe wide, exposing himself to his lover, who was, under the table, at eye-level with Vic's crotch. One large hand dipped down below Vic's shaved balls to fondle them, rolling the hairless nuts in his palm before giving them a healthy squeeze. He let them fall from his hand as he stroked his own cock, once, twice, pulling his length out toward Matt and at the last moment turning to the right a little, out of reach. Within seconds, he was hard, his dick standing on its own, as his fingers massaged the sensitive area between his balls and cock. The tip of his dick bumped the underside of the table.

Even without the telepathic ability they shared Vic knew Matt watched closely, his own dick growing hard between his legs. With a grin, Vic told his lover, "Say good-bye to your little friend here. You aren't going to see him for what, seven days? That's like a lifetime, isn't it?"

As Vic turned away, he heard Matt bump his head on the underside of the table. "Damn! Vic, wait. This is silly."

Already cutting through the kitchen, Vic cinched his robe shut and tried to will away his erection. It was easier said than done. Thrusting his hands into the pockets of his robe, he called over his shoulder, "It was your idea."

Behind him, Matt scrambled out from under the table. "I never said we had to put a moratorium on sex. I think you came up with it."

"Me?" Vic chuckled as he rounded the corner and stepped into the hall. The bedroom wasn't far now, but he felt his lover's anxiety chasing after him and he increased his stride. In two long steps, he had reached the next turn and was at the short hallway leading to the room they shared. "I would've never said no to sex."

"Then why are you saying no now?" Matt skidded out of the kitchen and hit the wall with one open hand, spun around, saw the flap of Vic's robe, and hurried after him. "Wait. You're saying no now. You never say no to me."

At the bedroom door, Vic waited. He had to admit, a perverse part of him was really enjoying this. Too often Matt got exactly what he wanted from Vic, and while that was the way their relationship worked, that was what Vic wanted, there was something about making Matt sweat a little bit that, Vic couldn't deny, had its appeal. Matt tore around the corner, almost crashing into the wall, skidding to a stop at the last second and turning on one foot. But when he found himself face to face with his lover, he stopped abruptly. "Hey," he whispered as he tried to catch his breath. "Don't tell me no."

"I'm not saying no." Vic frowned at him to keep from grinning. The flushed cheeks, the disheveled curls, the sparkle in his green eyes that always indicated when he was horny…if it weren't for the fact they had sworn off sex for the next week, Vic would already have Matt on the floor, rutting like animals. God, he had never wanted a man so bad.

Matt let his hand drift to the knot tied at the front of Vic's robe. He plucked at it, hopeful. "Well, you know. What did you call it earlier? Mutual masturbation? That's not sex, right? Isn't that what you said?"

Vic leaned in to his lover, close enough to smell the lingering scent of soap from Matt's shower the night before. He caught a whiff of that cream they had used earlier, and the musk of Matt's cum, and the spicy tang of his deodorant. The manly miasma conspired with the emotions already roiling through Vic, acting like a pressure cuff on his cock, squeezing and constricting until he thought his dick would explode. Closer, he touched the tip of his nose to Matt's ear and breathed deep, letting himself savor the moment, the man.

He heard Matt whimper -- he knew what it did to Matt, to know Vic enjoyed every aspect of him, not just his mind and body but his scent and taste, as well. The hand at the front of Vic's robe tightened and he heard Matt breathe, "Yes, please. Vic, yes. You said ..."

Licking out, Vic traced Matt's silky earlobe with his tongue. Then he whispered, "I lied."
